Veteran's Packages
Veteran's packages are available for those who are seeking a tailored and individualized program for trauma or for transition into civilian life.
For the Veteran's package price to be honored a copy of your honorable discharge DD214 will need to be provided.
Plan will begin with the first three sessions being $20.00 per 55 minute hour (for comparison a billable hour is $120). This will give clients the time to determine what package is effective for them. This also gives the counselor a chance to gain a sense of direction before beginning deeper work.
Due to the statistics of 22 suicides a day, Veterans are being offered a reduced rate, honoring their service. It is also requested that during the first session they create a safety plan.
Select wisely. All packages are prepaid with an expiration date. Sessions are 55 minutes in duration. You may schedule online for your prepaid sessions at:. https://www.therapyportal.com/p/ycounseling/
Once you select an appointment time it will need to be approved, however, no one else can select that time. Approvals will occur upon verification of payment.
Clients may also consider becoming a member of Open Path, which provides an income-based reduction. Open Path offers a membership fee and rates between $30 and $60 an hour. The income eligibility qualifications are reviewed every six months.
Specialty Veteran's Packages
Y Counseling Veteran's Package 1
Clients schedule up to 4 sessions in a calendar month.
It is recommended you schedule and pay for services at the same time to assure you are able to get your desired scheduled sessions for the month.
$150 for the calendar month (4 sessions)
Y Counseling Veteran's Package 2
Clients schedule up to 3 sessions in a calendar month.
It is recommended you schedule and pay for services at the same time to assure you are able to get your desired scheduled sessions for the month.
$120 for the calendar month (3 sessions)
Y Counseling Veteran's Package 3
Clients schedule 2 sessions that are completed within fourteen days.
It is recommended you schedule and pay for services at the same time to assure you are able to get your desired scheduled sessions for the time frame.
$90 for fourteen days ( 2 sessions)
EMDR / Sandtray Retreats
Retreats are longer sessions.
When reaching phase 4 of EMDR processing this is sometimes necessary or desired so that a client can allow processing to occur without needing to end at a certain time. For some, this allows comfort of "complete".
If you have tried processing in an hour and felt like it was not finished, then these packages are designed for you.
Insurance does not pay for longer than 60 minute sessions.
This page lists retreats at the cost for Veteran's. If you are unable to produce a copy of your DD214 you will need to look at the regular rates. (Retreats only work for phase 4 and above processing. Combination of EMDR and Sandtray can be expected. Client must be previously introduced to sandtray.)
Veteran's Retreat A
90 to 120 minute session.

Veteran's Retreat B
150 to 180 minute session.
Can be scheduled online, you can look at online scheduler and request three sessions back to back.

Veteran's Retreat C
210 to 240 minute session.
This will be broken down in a day with a naturally occurring therapeutic break for 45 minutes to manage self care (eating and moving). Can be scheduled online, you can look at online scheduler and select a day that works for you. Notify counselor immediately so that day can be reserved.
