Office Safety Precautions in Effect During the Pandemic
Y Counseling LLC is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Clients will remain in their vehicle until the office is ready, closing the waiting area at this time. Please text your counselor upon your arrival. You will receive a text when the office is ready.
Office seating in therapy rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
I have added a sneeze wall barrier to allow for communication without masks.
I wear masks or face shields if requested, behind sneeze wall.
Maintain safe distancing.
Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy room.
We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people who might pass in the halls.
Credit card pads, pens and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
Physical contact is not permitted.
Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.
If you have a ball cap there is a reusable face shield available for you to use during your session. This will be sanitized after your session (it does not leave the office). The shield attaches to your ball cap.
The office has added HEPA filters with UV lights. Though no guarantee, we hope to continue to reduce the spread of the virus.
The office has moved to paperless as much as possible. Some insurance still require signed treatment plans. Pens will be disinfected after each use.
The office will continue to utilize physical encounter forms that need to be signed until another method of attesting services is found.
The office will be disinfected to the best of our ability between clients.
We will cancel an appointment if we are not feeling well, giving clients an option to meet by telehealth.
We understand that not feeling well may not equal not needing to attend a counseling appointment. Clients may change their appointment to telehealth within two hours of session. (Pending insurance allowing.)
